Oreo Balls

Ingredients
  • 14.3 ounces Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies (1 package)
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese (1 brick)

Instructions
  1. Place the cookies in the bowl of a food processor* and pulse to fine crumbs.
  2. Transfer all but about 1 tablespoon of the crumbs to a large mixing bowl, and add the cream cheese.
  3. Mix until blended.
  4. Scoop 1-inch diameter balls, and roll between the palms to shape into smooth spheres.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator.
  6. Place the white chocolate in a bowl and microwave** in 30 second intervals, stirring, until smooth and melted.
  7. Coat the Oreo balls in the melted white chocolate, and sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs to garnish.

Recipe Notes
  • *If you don't have a food processor, just place the cookies in a zip-top bag and bash them to fine crumbs.
  • **Can also be melted over a double boiler. Heat about an inch of water in a small pot, place chocolate in a glass or metal bowl, and rest it on top. (The water should just barely be simmering, and the bottom of the bowl should not be touching the water.) Stir until smooth and melted.
